Which device for which setup



DJ3 - standard mix controller

  • you want to use Traktor’s internal software mixer
  • you prefer a standard setup with two decks (access to four decks should be possible)
  • you need dedicated pots for all EQ's (faster access, better feeling)
  • you like to have all transport buttons (play,cue,cup)

recommended expansions:

  • FX3 to have full access to four effect slots
  • 2nd DJ3 to have full access to all functions of four decks
  • DX3 for simultaneous control of important deck functions over two decks + dedicated FX controls
  • DL3 for simultaneous control of loop functions over two decks + dedicated FX controls



DX3 - deck and effect controller

  • you work with an external mixer
  • you use timecode vinyls
  • you prefer to have access to four decks (easy switching between deck A-C and B-D on the fly)
  • you need all possible deck functions like seek, scratch, hotcues, pitch, key, loop
  • you like to have a dedicated encoder to browse thru track list
  • you need all transport buttons (play,cue,cup)
  • you work with Traktor's amazing filters
  • you must have pots and buttons to control the effect sections of Traktor
  • you would like to have effect presets

DL3 - loop and effect controller

  • you work with an external mixer
  • you use timecode vinyls
  • you prefer to have access to four decks (easy switching between deck A-C and B-D on the fly)
  • you need a special loop section with a maximum of control
  • you like to have a dedicated encoder to browse thru track list
  • you need all transport buttons (play,cue,cup)
  • you work with Traktor's amazing filters
  • you must have pots and buttons to control the effect sections of Traktor
  • you would like to have effect presets

FX3 - effect controller

  • you have a separate controller for deck control or use timecode vinyls
  • you need the total control of all four effect slots in Traktor simultaneously
  • you like to have a dedicated encoder to browse thru track list
  • you need load buttons for all four decks
  • you prefer to use pots for effect control instead encoders (better feeling)
  • you would like to have effect presets



FT3 - four deck mix controller

  • you use Ableton Live for DJing
  • you want to use Traktor’s internal software mixer
  • you need access to four decks simultaneously (play, sync, fader)
  • you like to have a dedicated encoder to browse thru track list
  • you prefer EQ control by encoders with push-center-functionality
